Jim Edenfield

Jim’s dedication to real estate investment is evident in his journey. After serving 20 years in the Coast Guard, retiring in 1999, he moved to Colorado in 2009 for a project with IBM. However, his true passion for real estate led him to rehab houses in 2000. In 2011, Jim embarked on his Real Estate Investor journey with the local Real Estate Investment Associations in the Denver Metro area, honing his investing education.

In 2016, Jim made a significant career shift, leaving IBM and converting his IBM 401k into a Self-Trustee Retirement Investment Plan (STRIP). With this fund, he became a private lender to fellow investors. He expanded his investments beyond Colorado, purchasing several single-family homes out of state and becoming a co-owner of an apartment complex in Mississippi and one in Florida. Jim’s versatility is further demonstrated as a hard money broker, working with several funds that funded rehabs nationwide.

He hosts the Realty Investors Group (RIG),
a twice-monthly meeting held in Westminster, CO, at Frolic Brewing Company. As co-owner of Invest Success, he hosts the John Fisher’s Breakfast Club and the monthly Invest Success Happy Hour with Tim Emery.

Serving in the Coast Guard, Jim was pushed forward with a passion for helping others in distressed situations. That passion is carried over into Jim’s ownership of RIG and Invest Success. Jim fully believes that as investors, we can help distressed homeowners get out of bad situations, provide a reasonable offer to the homeowner, make a profit on the rehab project, and still offer the buyer a great deal.

Jim continues Private Lending and investing in Single-Family homes, Apartments, and Short-Term Rentals.
Ross Hair

Ross is a 20-year vet of the Colorado real estate market, a full-time real estate investor and broker, now primarily focused on land development projects in Northern Colorado.
In 2004 Ross relocated to Boulder County, by way of Zimbabwe, South Africa and Scotland, and immediately got his real estate license and started working with investors.
Many longtime Front Range investors will remember Ross as the founder of eRealEstate, a traditional REIA with packed audiences, monthly in-person meetings, quarterly expos and annual summits. It was fun, we were doing deals and building our portfolios.
2005 to 2009 was a wild time, with median new home prices under $250,000. And yes, you could cash flow homes in Denver. Then came the 2008 Great Recession when the real estate market rode the rollercoaster, and the investor market crashed for five years. The traditional real estate clubs faded away, attendance dwindled, and the world became so much more virtual.
Ross has come full circle and now joins Jim and RIG with a goal to revive the fun and personal connections that come from a traditional REIA. It’s back to the future as we navigate the new digital and AI world but still value the immense competitive advantages of networking and collaborating with fellow investors, professional and service providers.
